Just one finish out of a possible four. My 1st quarter list is here.
I enjoyed making this quilt. The Hexie Garden quilt (pattern by Atkinson Designs) took me a bit longer than I had planned. Lots of little triangles and lots and lots of bias edges. I used a fat quarter pack of Simply Color. This quilt measures approx. 58" x 68". Nice lap size.
I opted to do straight line quilting on this one.
I didn't buy any yardage for this project and used a bunch of leftover strips and FQs for the back.
The photo isn't so hot, but the backing looks really nice in person. It sorta makes it a reversible quilt.
For the binding, I used the collection of ombre solids that came with the set to make it a bit scrappy.
The color gradation works well as a binding and I would definitely use them again. My 3 unfinished items from the 1st quarter will all go on my 2nd quarter list. I think I have a decent chance of finishing them this time.
