My second finish from my 3rd quarter list. (My first finish is here.)
It was pretty easy to finish. I did simple straight stitching.
I used a red print from the same collection for the binding.
I wanted to use every last bit of this, so I used some leftover blocks and the rest of the yardage on the back.
I think it came out well. You can see the lines of the quilting on the back. I kept it simple.
I'm happy to have it finally finished and I can see a new home in it's future, it just won't be mine. One of my sisters really liked this fabric.
Joyful stitching,
jane
Congratulations on your finish! This is a lovely quilt front and back.
ReplyDeleteA finish is a finish, regardless of the like factor. I'm sure wherever it ends ups, it will be loved and appreciated. It's funny how our tastes change - all the more reason to not hoard fabric in a stash, in a cupboard!
ReplyDeleteHa! I have a quilt top out of this fabric waiting to be quilted and finished too! I just need to piece the back. You've inspired me to bump it up on my list!
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to be done and I know it will find it's way to a happy home:-)
ReplyDeleteI love this block layout. It really is so simple but the way they are orientated makes it look like a really difficult quilt to piece. Congratulations on your finish of a long term project.
